Privacy International files complaint about Google Street View Maps

Privacy watchdog Privacy International has filed a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, claiming that Google’s Street View maps are an invasion of personal privacy, and should be turned off.

Google Street View provides a driver’s eye view of streets. However, many of the images include pictures of people.

I have to say, that while I feel that Street View is overkill and makes me feel queasy about privacy, I do think the cat is out of the bag, and it’s not going away.
